"Beware of Flying Metal," that is the tagline of Jakarta Knife Throwers 1Indonesia Community (JKT1) which was created by Andar and his two friends, Toriq and Acung on 2011.
Andar said that he was inspired by Bandung Knife Throwing Community thus decided to create the same kind in Jakarta.
"I like to join with the knife throwing community at Bandung. This becomes a sport for me. Then, back to Jakarta I thought why not making the same one?" he explained to The Ondel Ondel in Taman Langsat, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
Andar said this community has expanded so fast. Now, there are 50 members who already join of JKT1. Elang, one of JKT1 member, said that he liked to join with the community since it can help him to practice the concentration, mental and focus more. If you are interested to join with the community, you can come to Taman Langsat, on days like Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday on the evening. JKT1 usually practices together at that time.
